Zurich Airport (ZRH)

Zurich Airport is the easiest airport for reaching Bern. The airport has its own train station located directly beneath the terminal. Direct trains to Bern depart every 30 minutes, with no train changes required. Travel time is about 1 hour. Conveniently, the station is well signposted throughout the airport.

Arriving in Switzerland

Basel Airport (BSL)

Basel Airport does not have a train station. After arrival, take the airport bus to Basel SBB railway station, then continue by train to Bern. The journey from Basel station is also an hour, straightforward and well connected.

Getting around Switzerland

We generally recommend not renting a car.

Switzerland's public transportation system is reliable, comfortable, scenic, and often more convenient than driving. Trains connect virtually every city, town, mountain resort, and major attraction.

Eurail Pass

If Switzerland is only part of a longer European trip, consider a Eurail Pass. Eurail allows train travel across many European countries and can be used both within Switzerland and for travel between countries, making it a great option for guests planning to continue their journey elsewhere in Europe.

Swiss Travel Pass

For guests planning to explore Switzerland before or after the celebration, the Swiss Travel Pass is often the easiest option.

The pass includes:

  • Unlimited travel on trains, buses, and boats

  • Local public transportation in Swiss cities

  • Free admission to more than 500 museums

  • Discounts on many mountain railways and cable cars

Los ciudadanos ecuatorianos necesitan una visa Schengen para ingresar a Suiza.

Recomendamos iniciar el trámite con suficiente anticipación, ya que el proceso suele tomar entre 3 y 6 semanas, aunque en algunos casos puede tardar más.

Generalmente se solicita:

  • Pasaporte vigente

  • Reserva de vuelos

  • Confirmación de alojamiento

  • Seguro médico de viaje con cobertura Schengen

  • Comprobantes financieros

  • Formulario y fotografías requeridas por el consulado

Para nuestros invitados, prepararemos una carta de invitación que podrá presentarse ante la Embajada de Suiza en Ecuador como apoyo a la solicitud.
